RUBY’S LAST CONFESSION

Held under house arrest in the dungeons at her family home, Ruby contemplates escape. Dawn approaches and the heavy hand of the executioner grows restless.

Is there time for one last magic trick before the sun rises…

 A reclusive aristocrat with a penchant for chloroform: less ‘iron fist in a velvet glove’, more ‘Mac the Knife in a tight corset’.

Fate (and the local constabulary) has finally caught up with Ruby and she is forced to account for the skeletons in her closet (and the ones in the outhouse, those under the rose garden, also the wine cellar, the gun room, “The Museum”, the Gladiatorial Arena at the end of the East Wing and some of the less accessible guest rooms on the third floor…)

Heritage and history made her, and as the only surviving member of her family there are certain duties that she must carry out!

So, she will follow in the footsteps of ancestors long dead, singing her own epic lament, until Destiny has her way, or the gods intervene…

This intimate performance combines the best in dark comedy and live music, with some luxurious storytelling.
